Statutes of the Fencing Masters of Bruges (1456)

Postby David Kite » 08 Dec 2015 23:05

In a few various places, I've seen citations for an article written by Matt Galas titled "Statutes of the Fencing Masters of Bruges (1456)" in a publication titled "Arts de combat. Théorie & Pratique en Europe - XIVe-XXe siècle," edited by Fabrice Cognot.

I'm interested in reading the article, but I'm unable to find it online, and according to OCLC WorldCat, the few libraries that own the book are in Europe, which means I won't be able to get it through my own library through interlibrary loan.

I am researching the fencing guilds, and am interested in how they compare with each other.

Any help you guys can offer would be appreciated.

There are three copies available for about CAD 50 on Bookfinder, or you can write to Matt Gallas and ask for an offprint.
how could anyone resist becoming
part of what I thought you were?
