What is this sword ?

Postby Frenchie » 23 May 2014 18:55

Hi,
As a young collector of ancient swords, i recently buy a french briquet. But it's hard to know what is the precise period of the sword. Because the briquet is not like the others briquets of the French revolutionary period.
And the sword have no marking at all.
Thank for any information about this mysterious sword.

No, but during the auction sale nobody found the origin of the sword (there were a specialist). The sword was sell with a napoleonic briquet and without any description.
I try the swordforum. Thank for the advice
