Thom Richardson of the Royal Armouries just put his PhD thesis online. It is a study of inventories of the arms in the Tower of London dating between 1325 and 1410. There are descriptions of armours belonging to Edward III, or purchased for his use; a variety of types of spears and crossbows; and a reference to old mail without rivets which is being debated on Armour Archive. ... _final.pdf
