A type XII sword from Lübeck

Postby Roland Warzecha » 22 Apr 2013 10:23

I have up-loaded some photographs and drawings of a sword excavated near the site of the Alt-Lübeck fortification in the late 1800s. It is now in a deplorable state but it must have once been a marvellous weapon, judging by the accurately executed fuller and the unrivaled artistic quality of the fine inscriptions.

Find an according gallery here.

Is it being exhibited yet Roland?
