A.A. Tarasov, tr. Boris Karpa Destroy the Enemy in Hand-to-Hand Combat (An Authentic Field Manual of the Red Army) Di Lernia Publishers, 2012 http://www.amazon.com/Destroy-Combat-Au ... 110&sr=1-1 Price $2.99 (ebook)

This is an English translation of the official Soviet hand-to-hand combat manual issued in the summer of 1941. Those interested in WW II combatives might enjoy the chance to see what the other Ally was doing! Non vidi et non legi.

Well, it certainly is, rather than professes to be, an English translation.

Dear Boris,

I know nothing about you or your work, cannot read Russian, have never seen a review by a qualified reviewer, have never heard of the publisher, and have not read this. Therefore I was cautious. I might get it if it were available in hard copy or an open digital format, but I'm an ancient and medieval historian not a specialist in WW II.

Sadly as of this moment there are no hardcopies available - as you imagine I would also love to have a hardcopy of my book.
