After much back and forth, this July we finally managed to convince the Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel to take the very fragile and badly decomposed Cod. Guelf. 78. 2. Aug. 2º—generally described as a copy of Gladiatoria, though it now seems to be much more than that—out of the vault one last time. We funded the creation of high-resolution archival images partly out of concern for preservation of such an old and significant text, and partly with the understanding that the images would be made freely available on the HAB website. I'm pleased to announce that that is now the case, and 150dpi versions of the scans can now be accessed at the link below (you have to zoom in). Enjoy!
